Kids Flamenco

Kids Flamenco is an introductory class for children who wish to learn the beautiful artform of southern Spain. In this class, children will establish a foundation in technique that focuses on: floreo (hand movements), braceo (arm movements), zapateado/taconeo (footwork), marcajes (marking steps), compas y palmas (rhythms and hand-clapping), giros (turns) and proper placement of the body. Dancers are expected to attend class with the proper attire including shoes and skirt or vest. Students will learn in a fun and interactive environment with their peers, will learning discipline and an admiration for the artform. Email for further details.
