CLASSES & TEACHERS
Classes run Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with each session lasting one hour. Classes are taught in Spanish, with English interpretation available.

Enjoy a 3-hour, hands-on Spanish cooking class where you'll prepare a 4-course meal, guided by a professional chef. Perfect for all skill levels, you'll learn new techniques while making:
Cold Soup: Salmorejo, Gazpacho, or Ajoblanco
Entree: Spinach with Chickpeas, Spanish Potato Omelette, or Codfish Fritters
Main Dish: Paella Valenciana
Dessert: Light Spanish dessert depending on the seasonal offerings.

End the week with a bang! After classes, join us for our final Tablao show at Teatro Flamenco de Triana with your teachers. Following the performance, we’ll head to the rooftop for farewell drinks, where we’ll toast to a fantastic week of dancing, learning, and new friendships.

TRAVEL INFO & RESOURCES
Travel & Logistics
SIM Cards: Buy a local SIM from Movistar, Vodafone, or Orange for affordable data and calls. Ensure your phone is unlocked. T-Mobile offers free international roaming in Spain.
Cash, Credit Cards, & Banking: Carry some euros for cash-only spots. Use Caixa, Santander, or Sabadell ATMs but check for fees. Credit cards are widely accepted, but always have a backup payment option. Notify your bank and credit card provider before travel. Currency exchange is available at airports and banks.
Adapters: Spain uses Type C and F plugs (230V). Bring the right adapter and check device compatibility.
Time Zone: Spain is on Central European Time (CET), six hours ahead of New York. Adjust your devices accordingly.
Practical Considerations
Language: Knowing a few key phrases like “hola,” “gracias,” and “hasta luego” can be helpful. To help you prepare, you can listen to conversational Spanish on Spotify or Youtube.
Emergency Contacts: Share contact and travel info with Xianix and Candi.
Class Attire: Pack breathable, moisture-wicking clothes.
Safety & Security
Stick to main streets and avoid isolated areas.
If uncomfortable, take a taxi instead of walking alone.
Watch out for distraction scams (e.g., someone offering paper, rosemary, or tissues).
Carry minimal cash, keep valuables spread out, and have a passport copy on hand.
Stay alert in crowded tourist spots.

Hydration: Drink water, carry a refillable bottle.
Stay Cool: Seek shade during peak heat.
Clothing: Wear breathable clothes, hats, and sunglasses.

Reminder: Discussions should stay flamenco-focused, and respect for all members is expected.

The trip runs from Saturday, June 14 to Friday, June 20, 2025, with classes starting on Monday, June 16 and ending on Friday, June 20 from 10am to 1pm.

Classes will be held at Flamenqueria Sevilla (Calle Castilla, 94, Triana). Group activities will take place at various locations around Sevilla, as detailed in the itinerary.

Fly into San Pablo Airport (SVQ) in Sevilla, or connect via Madrid (Barajas Airport) or Lisbon. You can also take a train from Madrid to Sevilla's Santa Justa Station. For more details, check out the Transportation Guide PDF in the Resources section.

Bring breathable, lightweight clothing for warm weather, comfortable shoes for walking and dancing, sunscreen, and your flamenco practice attire. A full packing list is available in the Resources section.

The package includes 15 hours of classes, a welcome dinner, a tablao show with a tour, a farewell tablao with your teachers + party, and coordination support. Flights, accommodation, and most meals are not included.
